For lovers of relaxation and the sea, Eastern Sicily and the area surrounding Syracuse offer everything one could desire. Starting from the ancient Greek city and heading south, the most beautiful equipped beaches to explore are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella, and Fontane Bianche, whose name derives from the natural freshwater springs and the particular white color of the sand. Within the island of Ortigia, you will also find equipped sunbathing areas (Zefiro and Nettuno) and a small free beach called Cala Rossa. Venturing further south, about 30 km away, we find beautiful unspoiled and rugged beaches, including Calamosche, Vendicari with its Natural Faunal Oasis, and the beautiful San Lorenzo. For culture enthusiasts, a must-see is the Greek Theatre of Syracuse and the entire archaeological park with the Ear of Dionysius, a cave carved into the limestone in the shape of a human ear, the Paolo Orsi museum, and the Latomie dei Cappuccini, as well as Ortigia itself with its historical, cultural, and scenic beauties. Not to be overlooked are Noto, the seafront promenade with the tuna fishery of Avola, and finally the seaside village of Marzamemi. In short, Sicily is a land to be explored, and its natural and cultural beauties are treasures to feast your eyes upon.
The Syracuse train station is located 1.4 km from the accommodation, while Catania airport is less than a 1-hour drive away.

A very interesting place to stay, clean and comfortable but kept original features. Easily walkable to Ortigia and its many restaurants. We were met at the property by Stephano who was very helpful and showed us much useful information on the map he provided. His restaurant recommendations were excellent.

We enjoyed the place very much.We were the first guests for this year and there were some small issues with the household equipment but I’m sure there will be solved for the next guests because the house keeper is very nice and available for anything.

The place is good for the price, very clean and comfortable. There is a lot of moisture as it’s an old place. There are plates and bowls and glasses but not many pots and pans. There was no kitchen towel or salt/pepper. Communication with the agency was very easy and good recommendations.
