Life in the Green Heart of the Netherlands tends to revolve around riverside cycling, orchard roads, and long lunches that slowly turn into evening drinks beside the water. This countryside holiday home near Montfoort sleeps up to 12 guests across six bedrooms and combines rural calm with easy access to historic Dutch towns, walking trails, and outdoor activities throughout the surrounding polders.
Most mornings begin quietly in the garden before the day drifts toward cycling routes, boat rentals, or slower walks through nearby villages along the Hollandsche IJssel. The hammock and barbecue naturally pull everyone back outdoors during warmer afternoons, while the open countryside keeps the atmosphere peaceful long after sunset. The house feels simple and welcoming, making it especially suited to families and groups looking for a slower countryside stay.
Marnemoende Marina can be reached within roughly 3 minutes for canoeing, paddleboarding, and boat rentals along the river, while Montfoort lies around 4 minutes away with historic streets, waterside cafés, and local restaurants inside restored Dutch townhouses. Kasteel de Haar can be reached within approximately 15 minutes and remains the largest castle in the Netherlands. Utrecht also lies around 13 km away for canal-side terraces, museums, and the Dom Tower, while Gouda can be reached within roughly 25 minutes for traditional cheese markets and old merchant squares. Cycling routes begin directly throughout the surrounding Green Heart countryside. Schiphol Airport is located 33 km away.
Note: Late check-out on Sundays is available until 20:00 for an additional fee of €75, payable on-site.

Lekker vrij wonen met zicht op weilanden.
Genoeg parkeerplaatsen.
