The Mazot is a former storehouse that has been converted into a home. These houses, typical of the Valais, stand on wooden stilts with large stone slabs to prevent mice from entering.
The Mazot has 2 rooms and a large south-facing balcony. On the ground floor is the kitchen-living room and the bathroom with WC, on the top floor is the bedroom with up to 4 sleeping places.

The accommodation
The living room of the Mazot is on the ground floor.
There you have a small but well-equipped kitchen with everything you need for cooking and eating: fridge, induction hob, dishwasher and of course all the crockery.
From the dining area for 4 people, which is open to the kitchen and living area, you can enjoy the fire in the open fireplace and the view of the mountain panorama. Finally, there is a living area with a fireplace, sofa and desk and access to the balcony with cosy armchairs and a dining table for 4 people.
Of course, the Mazot has 50 MBit WLAN, which works in all rooms.
Finally, there is a small bathroom on the ground floor with a bathtub/shower, WC and washbasin.
The upper floor can be reached via a steep staircase. There are 2 single beds and a double bed under the sloping roof, which can be separated by a curtain. As the height of the upper floor is very low, the beds are practically on the floor.

Please note that the Mazot is a granary that is over 100 years old. It is rustic, with a great cottage feel but also a small, cramped bathroom and low ceilings. There may always be spiders and dust on the old beams is unavoidable. If you are looking for a new-build standard, this is not the place for you. The Mazot is also located in a large meadow. In summer you may have to walk through waist-high grass, in winter you may have to clear the path yourself.

Further important information
Sauna, washing machine and dryer are located in the neighbouring house (bnb Arche de Noe) and can be shared. However, only when the bnb is open. This is normally from Christmas to Easter and July/August.
