Set in the heart of Embleton in Northumberland, Manor Cottage is spacious and well-presented and is the ideal holiday home for a family.
Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and airy with large windows helping to flood the area with loads of light and there is ample seating in front of a woodburning stove where you can kick off your shoes, lean back and relax and really get into the holiday ambience.
Another great space in which to chill out is the garden room which you can sit in and feel as if you are outside, even if it’s raining! The adjoining kitchen area is immaculate with all the facilities needed to be able to create delicious meals for the whole family and next to it is a delightful dining table and chairs overlooking the gardens, making this the perfect spot for gathering and enjoying long, leisurely meals together.
If the sun is shining then the well-maintained gardens are a delight to spend time in and thanks to them being enclosed, are completely safe for children and any pets to run around.
Come bedtime and for the grown-ups there is the master bedroom which boasts an impressive king-size bed and for the children, a cool bunk bedroom.(lower bunk beds are suitable for adults, the upper bunk beds are suitable for children) In the morning, you’ll be refreshed and raring to go, so after a quick coffee in the gardens, it’s time to get out and about.
The pretty village of Embleton is within walking distance and there is a fantastic scenic walk from here to the neighbouring village of Craster with the town of Alnwick the ideal location for having a browse and stocking up on essentials.
Nearby Embleton Bay is a gorgeous sandy beach loved by adults and dogs alike! Other beaches worth visiting include Beadnell Bay Beach and Newton Haven Beach.
Just a few miles away is the stunning Dunstanburgh Castle and if you’ve got a taste for history then check out Alnwick Castle, Preston Tower, Howick Hall and Bamburgh Castle.

Manor Cottage is a charming double fronted detached spacious bungalow set in the heart of Embleton. The property benefits from private parking and a lovely, large enclosed garden to the rear. Manor Cottage offers guests an ideal base in which to explore the Heritage Coastline. Embleton is a small village lying just a mile from the Northumberland Coast. One of the main attractions is the stunning Embleton Bay, a gloriously wide sandy beach that appears to stretch for miles and has great views of Dunstanburgh Castle. There are several restaurants and pubs within the village which are only a short walk away.
ACCOMMODATION (GROUND FLOOR)
The property is accessed by a steep drive and several steps.
Entrance hall with coat hanging space and boot rack.
Open plan kitchen/dining/lounge.
Kitchen area with electric oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, undercounter fridge and freesanding fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and nespresso machine (guests to supply own capsules). Access to the garden room.
Dining area with table, 4 chairs and bench
Lounge area with ample comfy seating, wall mounted Smart TV and log burning stove. Rear lounge area with chaise long and chair.
Bedroom 1 with King size bed and built in wardrobe.
Bedroom 2 with two sets of bunk beds, (lower bunk beds suitable for adults and upper bunk beds suitable for children only) and wardrobe.
Family bathroom with electric shower over bath, WC and wash hand basin.
Separate shower and separate WC and basin off the hallway and rear lounge.
Garden room (single glazed) with patio furniture.
OTHER FACILITIES
Private parking for 2 cars on steep drive (best to reverse up the drive). Large enclosed rear garden with seating and bbq. Gas central heating. All power, linen and towels included in the rent. £200 refundable security deposit required.
Please note - From October 29th 2021 this property will accept up to 2 small dogs.
Note: The driveway is steep so you are advised to reverse onto it. Note: Fuel for the woodburning stove is not provided but is available to purchase locally. note: Upper bunkbeds are suitable for children under 12 onlyPlease note: This property only allows bookings with a check in day of a Friday.Please note: short breaks are Friday to Monday/Monday to Friday only
