Set above Porthminster Beach, at Peninsula Apartments, in St Ives, this two-bedroom, second floor, beach front property, enjoys enviable panoramic sea views from most rooms and seaward facing balcony, St Ives scenic railway, pretty harbour and beaches all within a short stroll.
This stunning seaside holiday home, sleeps four, plus an infant, so is perfect for a family or couple.
A spacious hallway with solid walnut flooring, intercom entry phone and useful tidal clock, welcomes you to your home by the sea.
The spacious open plan living area takes full advantage of the panoramic sea views across St Ives bay, with large floor to ceiling windows and double sliding doors, which lead out to a seaward facing balcony, so the kitchen, dining and sitting area all benefit from this stunning Cornish vista, and the natural light which floods through into the stylish interiors, making them bright and airy, styled with a beautiful collection of local artwork, a generous collection of books with a fantastic selection of reading, cook and children’s books, it’s a wonderful space to relax, cosy up on the comfortable two seater sofa or armchairs, and enjoy your favourite show on the 42” television with Sky+ HD, including the Entertainment package, or pick up the handy pair of binoculars, thoughtfully left for guests, step onto your large private decked area and soak up the amazing views of the bay and beach below.
The kitchen and dining area are within the open plan living space, perfect for socialising with those busily preparing in the kitchen, a table and five chairs are provided along with a highchair for younger guests, alternatively the balcony offers an alfresco option with an ocean backdrop, the contemporary kitchen, with soft close units, black granite worktops and splash backs, is well-appointed with everything required for your stay, a utility cupboard in the hallway houses a washer/dryer.
There is a choice of two seaward facing bedrooms, yes you can watch the ocean from the comfort of your own bed from both, how dreamy, the master king sized room has floor to ceiling double doors, leading to a private seaward facing balcony, slide them open and drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves below, it also benefits from a private en-suite shower room, the second twin bedroom is conveniently located opposite the family bathroom, and a picture postcard view of the bay, through a large window, each bedroom is well presented with sumptuously dressed beds and offer ample storage space.
The family bathroom, located next to bedroom two, offers a fabulous double end bath to sink into for a long relaxing soak and a shower -over.
A private seaward facing balcony, accessed from the lounge and master bedroom, and partially covered, is enviably positioned above Porthminster beach to benefit from panoramic sea views across the bay to Gwithian and Godrevy lighthouse, a glass topped rattan table and six matching chairs are provided, perfect for alfresco dining.
If you enjoy dining out St Ives is a fantastic place for foodies, with a plethora of restaurants to choose from, many specialising in the use of local produce and freshly caught sea food, there is even a Michelin Plate venue, Porthminster Beach Café, set idyllically on the beach below, treat yourself to lunch or dinner with views as good as the food, after, a relaxing walk around the traditional harbour and browsing the boutiques, gift shops and art galleries along the pretty cobbled streets will be welcomed, here you’ll clearly see how the town has inspired artist, this is highlighted further at the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
Cornwall is a wonderful place to enjoy a healthy walk, venture out along the nearby South West Coast Path, it heads towards Zenor or Hayle and is a great space to see migrating and native birds, and wonderful sea life, the scenic railway, also connects the surrounding area, running beside the sea all the way, the journey is breath-taking, like the cliffside walk it stops at Carbis Bay, a secluded stretch of golden sand with blue flag awarded, azure waters to splash in. For a great day out start with a selfie at the iconic signpost at Land’s End, visit one of Cornwall’s most spectacular settings for live theatre, the nearby Minack is dramatically set on the edge of a Cornish cliff, before rounding off the day walking out on a man-made causeway of granite setts at low tide to the majestic St Michaels Mount, a castle set on its own island near Penzance, the kids will love the rides at Flambards in Helston, or Camel Creek Adventure Park, near Wadebridge or feeding the animals at Paradise Park, or if you prefer finding the hidden treasures you’ve seen on TV or the large screen, search for the filming locations of Doc Martin, Poldark or Fisherman Friends, to discover hidden coves, historic tin mines and traditional harbours, where you may even discover the delicious Stargazy pie.

The living areas in this second-floor apartment consist of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and coffee machine, a dining area and a sitting area with a Smart TV with Sky Entertainment package. The bedrooms consist of a king-size with en-suite shower room and a twin serviced by a bathroom. Outside there is a balcony and underground parking available. Shops, pubs and beach in 0.2 miles. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Enjoy an idyllic seascape at Stargazy.
