The owners have good language skills in both German and English. Only a short bike or car ride away there is a public swimming area in lake Simlången with both jetty and barbecue areas. A short distance away is Vargaslätten, a large privately owned nature garden with museum, plant sales and guided tours. Nearby is also Danske fall, with a fall distance of 36m, so bring a backpack and hiking boots. This is one of Halland's most visited nature reserves. Simlångsdalen's community has both shops and restaurants. In lake Simlången there is a nice fishing and here you can rent both boat and canoe. Fishing licenses are valid. To Halmstad, which is a lovelysummer town and the sea, it is 18 km. For the shopping enthusiast, it is only 55 km to Europe's largest shopping paradise, Gekås in Ullared. For those interested in golf, there are several golf clubs in Halmstad, the mecca of golf. The cottage is not rented to youth groups.
