Markbachjochhütte Wildschönau WILD700: Direct views from the ski hut towards the Wilder Kaiser and the surrounding mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps. During the season you can enjoy Tyrolean cuisine in the mountain restaurant in the building. The owner of the hut offers an excellent mountain breakfast in the house for a fee. Facilities: Living room approx. 85m², 2 bedrooms each with double bed and bunk bed offer space for up to 8 people. One of the two bedrooms has access to the balcony, large kitchen/living room with corner bench and chairs. 1 shower/WC, 1 guest/WC. Storage facilities for skis and bicycles in the house. Paragliding launch site directly below the house, ski in-ski out. In summer hiking tours and mountain bike tours from the hut. The hut owner offers luggage transport from the lift exit. Free parking at the valley station Outside of the gondola times, it is possible to drive to the hut by car via a private dirt road (only in summer!) In winter, the road is only accessible with snow chains and only up to the car park at Markbachjoch.

The holiday resort of Niederau, with supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and bars, mountain railway and cross-country ski trail, can be reached in approx. 3.0 km. Wildschönau outdoor pool with sunbathing lawn and playground 5.5km. The absolute and latest highlight is the new and spectacular Alpine Coaster in the Drachental adventure park in Oberau, 5km away. The coaster toboggan takes you up to 1,355 metres over numerous bends and with a height of up to 25 metres into the valley. A great experience for the whole family. The Wildschönau is a holiday region in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is located in the district of Kufstein, has just under 4,300 inhabitants and presents itself to visitors above the town of Wörgl in the Kitzbühel Alps. Ski areas in the Wildschönau region
While an active holiday in the Wildschönau holiday region from spring to autumn tends to focus on hiking and biking, winter sports for the whole family are the order of the day in the colder months. There are two ski areas available, offering a total of around 70 kilometres of pistes of varying degrees of difficulty. Pleasure skiers are in their element in the Schatzberg ski area in Auffach, while expert skiers can enjoy speedy descents on the Markbachjoch in Niederau. Hikers don't have to tackle extreme summit tours here, but can enjoy panoramic alpine hikes and pleasure tours. For example, a hike from the Markbachjoch over the Roßkopf to Oberau is a great option. Alpine and mountain huts, impressive natural gorges and breathtaking viewpoints make every hiking tour an experience.
