The Annex is a superb, single-storey cottage situated in the Dorset market town of Wimborne Minster, on the edge of the Cranborne Chase AONB.
Tastefully presented throughout, this cottage welcomes up to three guests across two bedrooms as well as your canine companion and boasts a light and airy, contemporary décor. Set in a peaceful location, it's perfect for relaxing, unwinding and enjoying excellent stargazing thanks to the low light pollution.
After a day of wandering Dorset’s coast and countryside, the open-plan living space will welcome your return; take a seat on the large sofa and tune into the Smart TV or throw open the doors to access the enclosed and gated patio with garden furniture and views over the tennis court towards the paddock.
The designated chef can get acquainted in the kitchen, home to a range of appliances including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, coffee machine and even a dishwasher, so washing up will be no trouble! Wander through to the stylish bedroom, boasting a comfortable mattress along with a lovely fitted storage for your personal belongings.
There is also a second bedroom with a single bed, accommodating up to three guests in total.
Begin your daily routine in the sleek bathroom, complete with a large walk-in shower.
The Annex is positioned within two miles of a welcoming pub, Willett Arms Wimborne, where you can pick up a tasty lunch after a day of wandering the village.
Nearby Wimborne also offers coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, shops, and there is also a supermarket, and both Chinese and Indian takeaways nearby, making it easy to stock up or dine out. Hop in the car and venture to the coastal town of Bournemouth, an idyllic setting for a day out, it offers a range of activities from Oceanarium with a variety of marine ecosystems, underwater tunnels and feeding sessions or have fun at Bournemouth Pier Amusements which is full of arcade games.
Thrill seekers can zip wire over the pier or visit RockReef which houses a rock-climbing wall, ropes course and cave themed tunnels.
Visit the town of Poole and take on the Splashdown waterpark with a range of flumes and slides, or visit the beauty of the Upton Country Park and explore this massive rural part and Georgian mansion.

There is a double and single bedroom serviced by a bathroom. To the outside is off-road parking for three cars and an enclosed garden. WiFi, travel cot, highchair, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. This property accepts one pet however smoking is not allowed. Within 1.5 miles there is a shop and within 1.7 miles there is a pub. The Annex is a charming escape to Dorset, whatever time of year. Note: This property is set on the owner's grounds.

We found Dawn the host friendly and very helpful even lending us a dog ramp for our elderly dog. Luxury, spacious accommodation and the grounds they were set in were vast with much wildlife to spot! Great location with Bournemouth and Poole on the doorstep. Had such a lovely time here! Thank you!

The Annex was a great place to stay. Quiet and rural but not far from Poole and Wimbourne so a good location. Welcome packet of biscuits, milk, tea and coffee. Well equipped kitchen , bedroom and bathroom were top class. My dog enjoyed his break too.

The Annex was modern, clean, warm and comfortable. It was ideally placed to visit family in Poole. The gated entrance gave added security. The gift of milk and biscuits was appreciated. As a suggestion to the owners maybe more than one teatowel in the kitchen and a hook in the bathroom for hanging clothes/dressing gown. Would definitely stay again.
