Since 1927, the Providence Sisters of Münster have lived out hospitality here at Haus St. Josef.
In November 2012, the house was taken over by the Diocese of Osnabrück, which continues this tradition.
The house is located directly opposite the Catholic Church of Maria Meeresstern – centrally yet quietly on Borkum's oldest street.
Shops and restaurants are just a few steps away.
After arriving by island railway from Borkum harbor to the train station, you will reach Haus St. Josef in approximately 300 meters.
The beach is about 600 meters away.
You can reach bakeries and shops in two minutes. All apartments in this house are simply, brightly, and functionally furnished.
The living area of this apartment includes a well-equipped kitchenette and a dining area.
The bedroom has a double bed (160 x 200) with an open footboard.
A bathroom with a shower (tub) and toilet.
Amenities such as TV, radio, and Wi-Fi are, of course, provided. This house has a special feature: a meditation room, our "Room of Silence," for personal reflection or simply to find peace, for yoga or mindfulness exercises, and a common room with a large selection of games and books for social gatherings or thematic group work.
A large garden with a terrace also invites you to sunbathe or barbecue.
For children, we have a large swing and plenty of space to play.

Die Lage war top. Alles zu Fuß toll erreichbar.
Aufenthaltsraum mit Spielen ist toll.
Die Ausrüstung in der Wohnung ist doch etwas sehr in die Jahre gekommen und an einigen Stellen eher unpraktisch. Wer es spartanisch mag, hat damit aber sicher kein Thema. Wenn das Wetter passt, ist man eh meist draußen. Zum Kochen wären noch ein paar extra Dinge, wie ein großer Topf für Spaghetti und eine weitere Pfanne, Kochlöffel super.

Gute Lage, schöne Wohnung mit Garten und ein tolles Spieleangebot im Gemeinschaftsraum.
Es hätte bei der Buchung dabei stehen sollen, dass im Treppenhaus Stille gewünscht ist, weil sich im obersten Stockwerk ein Meditationsraum befindet. Mit Kindern ist das sehr sehr stressig/ schwierig.
