Tucked away on the outskirts of Rugeley, Staffordshire, is this charming one-bedroom lodge, the Jenny Wrennery.
Enjoying a fantastic location near the Cannock Chase AONB and with stunning views of the countryside, The Jenny Wrennery is a superb choice for a couple’s retreat. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the rolling Staffordshire countryside from every aspect of the lodge.
Chickens and friendly sheep roam in the adjoining paddocks and are always keen to say hello. Upon arrival you will find a lovely veranda with outdoor furniture, where you can enjoy alfresco dining before enjoying a walk around the surrounding paddock. Step into the open-plan living space, where you can rustle up tasty meals in the well-equipped kitchen, tuck-in to a romantic meal or snuggle up on the plush sofa in front of the woodburning stove, as your favourite show plays out on the TV. Netflix and Disney are available during your stay. After a day of exploring, freshen up in the well-appointed shower room, before retiring to the sumptuous double bedroom to catch your rest. The bedroom features a large floor to ceiling window showcasing the very best of the sunrises and sunsets. Explore your surroundings, where in the nearby village of Colton, you can treat your other half to a meal out at the traditional local, The Dun Cow perfect for when you don’t fancy cooking! For further local amenities, head into Rugeley, where you can dine at the welcoming eateries of Stags Leap and La Terrazza Ristorante, stock up on essentials at a range of supermarkets, visit the idyllic Slitting Mill Waterfall, or picnic in Elmore Park. We loved our stay at the Jenny Wrennery, it was so peaceful and quiet The views were lovely and restful We had everything we needed for a chilled weekend away from the hustle and bustle Mel was so welcoming and informative We went for wanders and ate out at the Dunn Cow in the village,( recommended by Mel

Really had a great stay! Couldn't appreciate the property as would have liked as was travelling for work not a holiday. The goodies left were most welcome. Only drawback for me (only minor, as I was working) was the curtain in the bedroom didn't block out the light.

We had another wonderful relaxing time at the Jenny wrennery. The cottage has everything you need, and the area around it has many hidden gems, especially the donuts at the canalside farm shop. Mel and George are wonderful hosts and give you a warm welcome. See our review from last year and we have already booked for next year.
