A second-floor apartment in a charming, chalet-style residence, set in a stunning mountain landscape. This makes the perfect base for a summer break.
This apartment, which sleeps 4, has beautiful views out over the Val d’Arly. The large French windows in the living area bring the countryside inside, so the apartment is full of light. There is a sofa, with a flat-screen TV and an attractive wooden table for 4 people. This is next to the open-plan kitchen which is well equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine.
Sleeping
Bedroom 1: A cosy bedroom with an attractive wooden bunk bed.
Extra: The sofa in the living room converts into a double bed, with great mountain views.
Bathroom
An attractive, brand-new bathroom with a glass shower cubicle, basin and WC
Additional
• No wifi • Electric radiators • Pets allowed • Private parking, garage – a car is recommended
Location
The apartment is in the village of Praz Sur Arly, set in the stunning, alpine countryside. The village hosts cultural and sporting festivals throughout the summer, including a Baroque music festival in July and the extreme MB Ultra running event, which passes through the village.
In the summer, the area is a magnet for hikers, rock climbers, hot air balloon enthusiasts and mountain bikers. There are events as varied as jumble sales and vintage car rallies, plenty for visitors to do.
The town of Megève (10 minute's drive), is famous for its pretty, medieval streets and traditional architecture. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafés and bars to suit all ages and budgets. For self-catering, there are several supermarkets and grocery shops, as well as the farmers’ market every Sunday in Place de l’Eglise, where you can find the best local produce and regional specialities. The town hosts the International Jazz Festival in July, which attracts major artists from all around the world. This is followed in August by a classical music festival, the Estivales Megève.
Geneva airport is a 1 hour 10-minute drive.
