If you are searching for some peace, then Buckland Lodge is most certainly for you.
This detached holiday home nestles in the ideal spot where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful break, yet it is perfectly situated to explore the stunning Cranborne Chase National Landscape.
This wonderful location also joins a prestigious group of areas around the world that are certified International Dark-Sky Reserves and the park has been awarded as Dark Sky Friendly by Cranborne Chase National Landscape International Dark Sky Reserve, where you can see the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy, if the clouds allow! The lodge is only 20 minutes from the New Forest National Park, famous for its ponies, and it borders Martin Down National Nature Reserve. the latter is known for its wildlife, rare flowers and butterflies.
The Jubilee Trail crosses from border to border across Dorset and there is direct access to many miles of stunning footpaths, bridleways and cross-country cycling around the hamlet of Pentridge.
Although the lodge is set in a quiet countryside location, you are only 40 minutes from the glorious sandy beaches of the south coast and the fossils of the Jurassic Coast.
If you are searching for a fun-filled day trip, then Newforest Water Park, Longleat, Peppa Pig World, Monkey World, and Bovington Tank Museum will offer fun for all ages and are well worth a visit.

The owners Julie & Peter were very helpful with any requests and available if needed.Lodge was in a quiet area so it was very peaceful, but within half an hour of some lovely places to visit.Well worth supporting small owner sites as they are usually in special places.

Backland lodge was wonderful, if you’re looking for a quiet staycation this is the perfect location! Would advise doing a shop before you arrive as there isn’t much in walking distance.Clean & tidy & comfortable, Pete & Julie were very accommodating and good communication! Thanks once again!

Lovely stay at Buckland Lodge. Owners were friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable and well appointed. Very peaceful location, but easy to drive out to some nice places. Kids loved the holiday and especially the private hot tub!
