Located in the small village of Bucklesham lies this contemporary detached lodge, 12 Bucklesham Park.
All-one-level and sleeping up to four guests in two double bedrooms, this property is the perfect retreat for two couples looking to explore the picturesque East Anglia.
Upon arrival, you're welcomed by an impeccably presented lawned garden and decked area, as well as a convenient off-road parking space and a secure bike storage for guests looking to experience the nearby cycle routes; for the more adventurous, there is also Twisted Oaks mountain biking trail around half a mile from the property.
Step into your new home away from home and settle in on one of the sofas in the open-plan living/dining area, flicking on the Smart TV to enjoy your favourite show whilst you relax by the warmth of the electric fire.
The traditional yet contemporary charm of the property continues into the amply-equipped kitchen where you can cook up a storm for your group before gathering around the dining table to catch up; no need to worry about washing up, load the handy dishwasher and enjoy more quality time together.
Boasting two bathrooms, you're able to enjoy a glass of wine whilst you soak in the bath with an overhead shower or wash off the day's adventures in the en-suite walk-in shower.
As the night draws to a close, retire to one of the two double bedrooms, both featuring Smart TVs so there's no arguing over what to watch whilst you snooze off.
Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee on the decking in the peaceful setting of Bucklesham Park, or pop into Cups & Cakes onsite tea room whilst you plan the day ahead.
Take a stroll into Bucklesham village, why not stop off to enjoy some comfort food and a crisp pint of real ale at the local Shannon pub.
Jump in the car and spend the day at the nearby seaside villages or towns of Felixstowe, Orford, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, Southwold & Thorpeness where you can visit the quaint shops, restaurants or alternatively enjoy Minsmere the RSPB Coastal nature reserve with woods and wetland, 7 bird spotting hides, nature trails and a tea rooms, If that's not choice enough, then maybe book a trip on a river cruise down the Deben or Alde or visit the Norfolk broads, there's something for everyone.
Discover the history of Suffolk with a visit to Ipswich museum where you can learn of 50-million-year-old geology, Saxons, Romans and more.
Sutton Hoo (recently featured in the film the Dig) is open everyday including the High Hall exhibition, Tranmer House, the gift shop and the café, which is serving a limited takeaway range of hot and cold drinks and snacks.
If fishing is your relaxation then Kirton Hall Lakes within 5minutes of the lodge, a beautiful six acre lake with carp to 26 pound, Tench to 9 pound and many smaller coarse fish, day passes can be purchased through Kirton Hall lake website. 12 Bucklesham Park makes for a wonderful getaway to make memories that will last a lifetime, whatever the weather.
