Resting in the popular town of Penzance on Cornwall's south coast is this lovely mid-terrace property, Mazey Cottage, enjoying a fantastic position for touring the south of Cornwall.

Discover contemporary décor interspersed with original features, with two bedrooms and a wonderful enclosed garden, Mazey Cottage is the perfect choice for your next family getaway.

Be welcomed into the hallway to find the sitting room on the first left, boasting a light and bright colour scheme which is continued throughout the property, where you can unwind on one of the two sofas with a Smart TV to entertain.

The next room is the dining room with an attractive dining table and chairs, perfect for coming together at the end of another exciting day, with an armchair in here and patio doors leading out to the garden.

Move into the contemporary kitchen, enjoying a striking white and red colour scheme, boasting a host of appliances to assist you on your self-catered stay to Cornwall, including an integrated oven and microwave, and bold red fridge/freezer, with a quirky breakfast bar tucked in the corner.

Step into the pretty garden to find an attractive space to relax in the evenings with a refreshing drink at the outdoor furniture and alfresco dining.

Enjoy a quiet moment in the first-floor snug and curl up on the sofa with a book from the shelf, or use it as a second entertainment space and catch up on your favourite shows using the second Smart TV in here.

A beautiful twin room has been wonderfully decorated in the style of a scenic beach painting which hangs on the wall, with accents of blue and yellow reminding guests of the sea and sand, with the beds able to be made into a super-king-size on request, and a glimpse of the coast visible from the window.

The second and master bedroom is home to a super-king-size bed, with this one also able to be a twin with zip/link beds, enjoying elegant décor with accents of dark blue, and as with the twin room and snug, also features an original, decorative fireplace.

Completing the property layout is the bathroom on this floor with a bath, hand held shower and overhead shower, perfect for families with little ones, and a cloakroom on the ground floor.

Enjoy being within walking distance of all of Penzance's delights, with a pleasant stroll bringing you down to the waterfront and Penzance Harbour, with Penzance Promenade providing the perfect place from which to begin exploring this bustling town.

Discover a host of shops, both well-known favourites and independent gems, pubs and restaurants, and plenty of cafés to enjoy.

Take a picnic to the Morrab Gardens filled with tropical plants and palms, or visit Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens to enjoy superb views over St Michael's Mount.

Walkers can delight in a great choice of walking routes in the area like the South West Coast Path for stunning coastal scenery or St Michael's Way following in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims on this gentle ramble to St Ives Bay. St Ives is a picturesque fishing harbour and seaside town well worth visitings, with its incredible, Blue Flag awarded Porthmeor Beach with pristine sands and clear waters, along with the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden and Tate St Ives.

Enjoy a trip out to sea on a sea safari to go wildlife watching, or hop on a Penzance Ferry to visit the Isles of Scilly AONB, home to glorious beaches, historic ruins, gorgeous gardens and stunning scenery.

Venture over to Marazion to walk out to the beautiful tidal island of St Michael's Mount, home to a castle and an old priory, you can marvel at the gorgeous views before heading back to Marazion to end the day at one of the fabulous restaurants here to enjoy a meal with a view as the sun sets over St Michael's Mount.

The cottage is generally well furnished and equipped but unfortunately the back of the house (kitchen, bathroom and second bedroom) do have a damp problem and smelt musty. The bathroom needs refurbishing - though the shower did work and there was plenty of hot water. Kitchen well equipped but no oven gloves made taking things out of the oven tricky!
