The host reserves the right to request a deposit of 50% and will contact you directly regarding this. Bed linen and towels are provided. The prices quoted do not include tourist tax. The local tourist tax is payable in the months of May to October. To issue the guest cards, all first and last names (children with age information) are required, as the names are printed on the cards. Cancellation conditions: Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge, later cancellations will be charged at 90% of the travel price.

Guest card My guests receive the "MeineCardMobil" guest card. With this guest card, you can use all NVV public transport in the Edersee adventure region and the Waldecker Land region free of charge. For example, if you go on a hike, you can easily return by bus or AST taxi. Further information is available on the Internet at: www.grimmheimat.de/natur-erleben/meinecardmobil About the house: Quiet house with spacious, smoke-free holiday flat to switch off and relax! The house with five holiday apartments is situated on a slope below 'Schloss Waldeck'. After a short walk to the castle, you will be rewarded with a marvellous panoramic view over the Edersee. The holiday flat "Naturoase" on the ground floor (60m²) has a large living room (23m²) from which you have a wonderful view over the valley into the forest region. Furthermore you will find 1 bedroom, a new kitchen, bathroom with toilet, storage room, SAT-TV and radio. The sofa can be converted into an additional bed. The unobstructed view from the terrace of the valley and the forest region has a relaxing and calming effect. Enjoy the afternoon sun and marvellous sunsets! In the house, on the terrace and in the area in front of the building, you have access to your personal contacts via WLAN access. If you bring your own bicycles, they can be parked in the garage by arrangement. You will find a variety of attractive tours around the Edersee and the surrounding area. The nearby old town of Waldeck offers all kinds of facilities - from shopping to cafés and restaurants. You can reach the town from the house in approx. 15 minutes. In the Kellerwald National Park you can plan hiking tours or take part in guided tours. The lake and the outdoor pool can also be reached on foot in approx. 20 minutes. With your "MeineCardMobil" card, you can travel back free of charge by bus, which also transports your bike. In Waldeck and the region, you can enjoy all kinds of leisure activities on land, water and in the air: golf, horse riding, sailing, water skiing, hiking, cycling, ... to name but a few. Within a radius of 50 km by car you can reach many towns with old half-timbered houses, such as the spa town of Bad Wildungen, the cathedral town of Fritzlar, the Hanseatic town of Korbach or the city of Kassel with its museums and the Wilhelmshöhe mountain park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you can see, everything is possible: cultural discoveries, rest and relaxation, leisure and sport. Waldeck and the region around Lake Edersee offer you every conceivable activity on land, water and in the air. Whether you want to be active yourself or just want to take part and experience your holiday in peace, you will certainly be able to realise your wishes.

How to find us: The address is: Am Schloßberg 5, 34513 Waldeck (Hessen). If you turn from the street "Am Abelauf" into the street "Am Schloßberg" (sign "Schlossberg Ferienwohnungen"), then take the 2nd entrance on the left after approx. 150 m (sign "Schlossberg Ferienwohnungen") and drive in a left turn uphill in front of the entrance "Am Schoßberg 5". Here you can leave your car in a free car park. Please always contact the landlord in good time before your arrival to discuss the arrival time and key handover.

Description of the unit
The holiday flat "Naturoase" was renovated and redesigned in spring 2020. All windows are new. The living room now has a floor-to-ceiling window with patio door. On the terrace you can enjoy your coffee with a view of the forest region or simply relax outdoors. In the living room, bedroom and entrance area, a new warm vinyl floor has been laid, which certainly means a better living climate for guests with allergy problems. The fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher is new. In this 60 sqm holiday flat you will find a large living room (23 sqm) with satellite TV, whose sofa can easily be converted into an additional sleeping accommodation (approx. 2m x 1.20m) if required, a spacious bedroom (18 sqm) - double bed with separate mattress, a fully equipped new kitchen (16 sqm), a spacious bathroom with WC and integrated shower in the bathtub. Next to the kitchen you will find a storage room. From the living room or the terrace in front of the flat you can enjoy the sun and the quiet, sometimes picturesque evening moods. Towels and bed linen are provided. The visitor's tax for Waldeck 1,-EUR/person/day and the final cleaning of 46,-EUR will be charged separately.
