All shops at 200m, public garden at 150m. Cambrai station 500 meters away. Cambrai is located in the Escaut valley, on the borders of the Hainaut and Artois plateaus and the vast, gently undulating plains that characterize the Cambrésis landscape. Its geographical position, the presence of numerous green spaces, the Scheldt and the Saint-Quentin canal, its architecture make it a city with a preserved living environment and justify its reputation as a "city in the countryside".
If today Cambrai is best known for its famous "stupidity", it is also by its history and its rich heritage that it is remarkable. Soon to be two thousand years old, drawing its origins from the Gallo-Roman era, the city is characterized by its rich and unique past. Marked over the centuries by its position as a border town, it combines the cultural influences of the great European powers who coveted it. Peronne 38 km. Lille–Lesquin Airport (45 mins), Lille (1 hr), Amiens (1 hr), Arras (45 mins, 48 km), Valenciennes (35 mins), Douai (35 mins).
