The national park community of Baiersbronn in the Black Forest is the largest tourist community in Baden-Württemberg. Over 80 per cent of the area is forested, from which the claim "There is nowhere else with more Black Forest!" is derived. With its nine districts, Baiersbronn stretches over 20 kilometres in the upper Murg Valley between the Schliffkopf and Ruhestein on the Black Forest High Road to Schönmünzach on the Baden-Swabian border.

Behind the Baiersbronn hiking paradise is a network of over 550 kilometres of hiking trails with multi-stage trails, award-winning gourmet trails and educational adventure trails that lead past idyllic rest stops, remarkable viewpoints and natural attractions such as the Black Forest National Park.

Those who want to experience Baiersbronn on two wheels will find 11 varied tours over 400 kilometres with up to 30 percent single trails for families, beginners and experienced mountain bikers.

Families with children will also get their money's worth at Murgel's playhouse, the Baiersbronn children's holiday programme, one of five outdoor pools or Hauff's Fairy Tale Museum.

And for all those interested in history, a visit to the Buhlbach Glassworks Cultural Park is worthwhile, a journey back in time to a world of wood and glass over 250 years ago.

An annual highlight of a fast-paced kind is the Baiersbronn Classic - the Black Forest rally for connoisseurs, which commemorates the Ruhestein mountain race of 1946, Germany's first automobile race after the Second World War, every year on the last weekend in September.

Numerous experiences and leisure activities in Baiersbronn and the National Park region are free of charge for holidaymakers: with the Black Forest Plus guest card, you can experience over 80 Black Forest experiences for free. The card is available for stays of two nights or more at selected hosts in Baiersbronn and the National Park region - also free of charge.

The holiday flat is in a central location and everything is within walking distance (bakery, supermarket, information, restaurants, swimming pool, sports field, bus stop, playgrounds)

There are other flats in the house. All residents have access to a spacious terrace and garden with a direct view of the church.
