Cocoonr is offering ‘La Forestière’ for rent: a cosy flat with a terrace overlooking the pine trees and, if you’re lucky, some squirrels, just a 3-minute walk from the lake and close to local shops and restaurants!
Here you can enjoy a fantastic weekend or an unforgettable, peaceful holiday, whilst being right by the beach.
Park your car (private outdoor parking), unpack your bags, and make the most of it! Just 300 metres from the beach and 5 minutes from the famous Hôtel La Corniche, in this gem of Pyla, we invite you to enjoy a pleasant and peaceful holiday! On the first and top floor of a small block of flats comprising nine flats, this 28 m² flat comfortably accommodates a couple, with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room. The flat is laid out as follows: - At the entrance, a storage cupboard and a separate toilet - A spacious living area with superb high ceilings and exposed beams, floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto the terrace, a sofa bed, TV, fitted kitchen, dishwasher, induction hob, fridge, oven, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster and plenty of cupboards. - A bedroom with a double bed (140x190) and storage space - A bathroom with a shower, vanity unit, storage shelf and heated towel rail. Outside: - A covered terrace, where you can enjoy the sun at breakfast, and it’s lovely to get some fresh air in the afternoon and at aperitif time when returning from the beach, without being directly south-facing… The terrace has a table for 4 people and 4 chairs; there’s also a fold-away table in the living room for inclement weather, which seats 2 or 4 and can be used as a low or high table… Highlights of La Forestière: Located in Le Pyla, right next to the beach, a cosy flat with a terrace and a parking space. Nearby: - Le Teich Bird Sanctuary, 20 km away - Arcachon Zoo, Route de Cazaux – a great day out for relaxation and a change of scenery; Aqualand in Gujan. - Arcachon Market - Traditional market in La Teste on Saturdays and Sundays, held in the market halls but also featuring many outdoor market stallholders selling organic produce, cheese from the Pyrenees, confit, foie gras, shoes, clothes and more... - Pyla Dune, 3 km away - Andernos-les-Bains, 40 km away - Bordeaux, 66 km away Activities: It’s hard to choose from the multitude of activities on offer in the Arcachon Basin! Ideally situated, you can reach the flat via the Bordeaux motorway, taking the Pyla exit, thus avoiding Arcachon… just a 6-minute drive and you’re home! Make the most of Le Moulleau right next door, with its many restaurants, shops and ice-cream parlours. You can also set off to explore the spectacular Ville d’Hiver district in Arcachon, with its superb early 20th-century houses, its park and its viewpoint offering breathtaking views over the Arcachon Basin! The little train opposite the tourist office will give you plenty of ideas for things to discover and a lovely overview of Arcachon! At lunchtime, treat yourself to some oysters at one of the oyster ports around the Bassin – perhaps at the port of La Teste or Gujan, or at Arcachon market – then make the most of the beaches and set off to conquer the majestic Dune du Pyla at the end of the day – the sunset is superb! If you fancy heading out to sea, there are regular ferries from the Thiers jetty in Arcachon to Cap Ferret, Île aux Oiseaux and the famous stilted huts! There’s a direct shuttle to Cap Ferret from the Moulleau jetty, but be careful – check the tide times and timetables… The Banc d’Arguin, with its crystal-clear waters – paradise on earth! Paddle down the Leyre to the bird sanctuary at Le Teich; you can choose to be accompanied by a guide or go it alone in your kayak. Transport: - Arcachon railway station is 8 km away, with trains every hour; the journey from Bordeaux takes 50 minutes. - Bus route 1 on Boulevard de la Plage, 2 mins away, to Arcachon railway station, with interesting stops all along the way; you’ll find leaflets in our welcome guide. - Bordeaux Airport is 65 km away (52 minutes by car) - The underground car park at the Town Hall takes you directly to Les Halles. On arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the team at Cocoonr, the agency specialising in ‘ready-to-move-in’ rentals, who will be on hand throughout your stay to ensure you make the most of it. La Forestière "Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le logement, il est très bien équipé et en très bon état. Il est très bien situé et au calme.
Il y a avait certes une odeur dans la salle de bain, mais qui n’a pas dérangé notre séjour."
