Situated on the shores of the Borromean Gulf one of the town’s main attractions is the Borromean Islands, a group of picturesque islands located just off the coast - Isola Bella, Isola Madre, and Isola dei Pescatori.

These islands are known for their opulent palaces and well-manicured gardens.

Visitors can take a ferry from the port (an 11-minute drive away) to explore the islands and immerse themselves in their rich history. Stresa is also a gateway to the scenic landscapes of the Italian Alps.
