whether you're staying on business or pleasure, for a holiday or a short break, you couldn’t wish for a more convenient location in the heart of Ipswich than this charming listed townhouse on a quiet residential street near Christchurch Park.
Comfortably accommodating up to five guests, 9 Alpe Street is light and airy with a sociable open plan living/dining room where guests can simply relax on the generous corner sofa and enjoy some telly, or dine at the sunny table by the window with meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen (if you’re not tempted by a local take-away!). The bathroom (with natural light and a shower over the bath) also sits at the back of the cottage. All three stylish bedrooms are on the first floor where the king and single overlook the garden and the large twin is at the front of the house.
If you’re travelling by car there’s residents parking on the street or you can travel by train with a twelve-minute walk from the station. Once you’ve settled it’s just a five-minute walk from the town centre with theatre, shops and culture to explore; or ten minutes to the lively waterfront with vibrant bars, restaurants and yachts to admire. Ipswich is also a great base for Suffolk beautiful coast and countryside with Snape Maltings, Woodbridge and the picturesque seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold within easy reach. After a busy day you can relax in the sunny south facing garden.
The Space
GROUND FLOOR
You’re welcomed into a long hallway with the stairs rising ahead of you, the kitchen and bathrooms at the back and large living/dining room to your left.
LIVING/DINING ROOM
A great space for family or friends to congregate with the living area furnished with a corner sofa and extra chair in the bay window and a TV on a unit in the corner. The dining table sits at the other end of the room, near the kitchen, and has six chairs around it.
KITCHEN
There’s a step down to the well-equipped which has an electric oven with four ring gas hob, good sized fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, kettle and toaster. A door opens to the garden, making it easy to pop out for a breath of fresh air with your morning coffee.
FIRST FLOOR
Carpeted stairs take you to the split level first floor landing where all three bedrooms are.
SINGLE ROOM
Sitting quietly at the back and simply furnished with a single bed, bedside table and chair.
DOUBLE BEDROOM
Also at the back of the house with a view of the garden. The king size bed sits between bedside cabinets and there’s a large chest of drawers.
TWIN BEDROOM
A lovely light room with sash windows and plenty of space for some privacy. Furnished with a sofa and desk for those needing to do some work from home, twin beds and a wardrobe.
OUTSIDE
There’s residents parking for one car on Alpe Street which will be arranged for you, if you're unlucky and there's not a space outside there are normally yspaces along the road or on adjacent roads. There's also a public car park 250 yards (2 mins waslk) away. The enclosed garden is south facing so ideal for sitting in the sun or al fresco dining. You’ll be close to all the amenities in town and there’s also a corner shop just minutes walk away for those last minute essentials. Ipswich is a fantastic base from which to explore Suffolk as mentioned above, there are also numerous sailing clubs nearby and there are historic boat trips from the marina, Sutton Hoo and other historical places of interest etc.

Please be sure to give us the registration number for the car which you'll be bringing so it can be registered for the parking which is usually available on the street in designated areas in Zone 2. There's no guarantee unfortunately but you can park on the curb opposite after 6pm if needs be.
There are additional visitor tickets available for a small charge, please ask in advance if needed.
