Hawes 1.4 miles.
Tucked away in the quaint hamlet of Appersett, just over a mile away from Hawes, is the striking 17th century dwelling, East House.
A charming abode exuding an abundance of character, this Wensleydale cottage features creative, traditional styling, which perfectly compliments its original features such as the old oak beams and stone flagged floor, and offers a delightful setting for a small family getaway or a romantic break to the countryside for two. Spend your evenings snuggled up in front of the gorgeous 18th century stone and cast-iron open fire, as you watch all of your favourite movies on Netflix.
Continue through to the pretty country-style kitchen/diner where you can rustle up many delectable treats with the help of the wide range of appliances that lie within, before gathering at the beautiful wood dining table to tuck in to your meals whilst enjoying quality time with your significant other.
When you begin to feel yourself tire, take yourself off to the restful ground-floor single benefiting from its very own en-suite shower room, or climb the staircase to the wonderfully decorated king-size and discover a bright and spacious en-suite bathroom where you can indulge in a lengthy afternoon soak in the tub. Start your mornings with a tasty cup of coffee out in the enclosed front garden as you embrace your lovely surroundings and breath in the fresh countryside air. Grab your walking boots and delight in a short stroll to the Hardraw Force Waterfall, behind the wonderful Green Dragon Inn (the interior filming location for the Drover's Arms in the new All Creatures Great and Small). A short stroll onwards across the meadows to Hawes, for all manner of independent gift shops, eateries, pubs and a well/stocked deli. Take a tour of the Dales Countryside Museum and explore Aysgill Force, or travel across to Middleham and uncover The Forbidden Corner.
Head underground through the longest show cave within the UK, White Scar Cave, and spot the imposing 18th century architecture of Ribblehead Viaduct as you embark on an awe-inspiring hike along the incredible Ingleton Waterfalls Trail.
With all this to do and more, a holiday to East House is simply not to be missed!
