Set in the small village of Skeffling which lies on the Holderness Peninsula is this semi-detached cottage, Ryeby Garth.
Enjoying countryside views over fields to the back of the property, this two bedroom dwelling presents a peaceful base for a holiday full of outdoor adventures along the coast and into the countryside of East Yorkshire.
Enjoying a traditional layout and elegant furnishings, you will feel at home in Ryeby Garth.
The quaint kitchen has a pretty red and white tiling set behind the impressive gas range cooker and hob, with a fridge/freezer and a microwave too, you have all you need to rustle up some delicious dishes here, with lovely views of the fields from the kitchen window.
Gather in the pretty dining room at mealtimes and chat about your favourite parts of the day, with a terracotta tiled floor and a fireplace home to a wood burning stove adding a classic cottage feel.
Relax during the evening in the sitting room, with an open fire in here and a TV, you can choose to spread out on the leather sofa or get snug in one of the armchairs with a good book, with large patio doors opening out onto the garden.
Enjoy playing with the children and your canine companion on the large lawn, having alfresco lunches at the outdoor furniture or winding down with the last of the evening sun. Retire to one of the two bedrooms, choosing from a lovely twin room or the delightful double, both with excellent bed linen and plenty of storage for your things with a chest of drawers in each.

The village of Skeffling is surrounded by beautiful farmland and fields, with many walks available from your doorstep, begin with an easy 5-mile circular route beginning from the village, through public footpaths to Easington, coming down Humber Side Lane and back along the Humber Estuary back up to Skeffling, taking in the country sights and the coastal views as you go. Pick up any essentials from the village of Patrington, home to two shops and a local bakers and butchers, or just slightly further is the seaside town of Withernsea, with a great selection of amenities and attractions.

Climb the 144 stairs to the top of Withernsea Lighthouse Museum for stunning views of the coast and countryside, and wander around the museum which is dedicated to one of England's most glamorous movie stars, Kay Kendall, who was born in Withernsea.
Embark on an easy cycle ride out to Spurn National Nature Reserve, a unique long sandy split stretching 3.5 miles into the Humber Estuary, home to a great deal of birdlife, this area is popular for birdwatchers, and home to Spurn Lighthouse which has been excellently restored, take a Spurn Safari aboard a large ex-military vehicle with commentary about the area, a guided walk and a chance to climb the lighthouse.
Visit the vibrant city of Hull, take a step back in time at the Museums Quarter which borders the River Hull, or visit the aquarium.
Once you have finished discovering the City’s history follow the River slightly South where you will arrive at the Marina.

Ryeby Garth is a quaint semi-detached cottage resting in the village of Skeffling in East Yorkshire. Hosting two bedrooms, including a double and a twin, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep four guests. There is also a kitchen, a dining room with a woodburning stove, and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside there is a large lawned garden with seating and off-road parking. Fuel and power inc. in rent, as well as starter pack of logs and coal for fire. Ryeby Garth is a wonderful home-from-home on the Holderness Peninsula. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. The garden is fenced however it is a wide fence with stock wire and backs onto fields, dogs and children must be supervised at all times. Please note: there is a firm mattress topper for the double bed, available on request.

My daughter booked the cottage for three nights as a break before the children went back to school. I’m so glad she did we loved it. We were welcomed with a great basket of goodies the bottle of wine was a nice touch. The place was very clean and cosy. We’ll equipped couldn’t think of anything else ...
