A delightful single-storey barn conversion, imaginatively constructed across a babbling brook, in the peaceful village of Milton on Stour, 2 miles from Gillingham.
Well appointed with a wealth of exposed beams, this lovely property offers a fenced patio beside the brook, ideal for peaceful evening dining, as well as a spacious open plan living area and master bedroom with beams and views over the water.
The barn is surrounded by lovely walks, and there's plenty to see and do in the area, such as the house and gardens at Stourhead, Longleat Safari Park, or even Salisbury, Stonehenge and the stunning Jurassic Coast.

Brook Cottage was originally built as a barn, but has been tastefully converted to offer accommodation for four people; ideal for small families or a small party of friends. The cottage has been built over a brook and has retained much of its original character through the exposed beams that can be found throughout. All the accommodation is laid out over one level an there is a large, enclosed patio area beside the stream; perfect for enjoying a spot of al fresco dining in the long, summer evenings. There is off-road parking for 1 car and the local amenities are a mere 10-minute walk from the front door.

This is a very comfortable and spacious property with good facilities. The living area is bright and the well equipped kitchen made cooking effortless.
We were very fortunate with the weather and could take advantage of the small patio area in front. It was also handy to have a parking space right outside. We hope to return some time.

We had a very enjoyable break and the cottage had everything we needed. There was an issue the first night that was beyond the owner's control but it was quicky sorted and didn't affect our time there.
The cottage is well located for exploring Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset. There are some great cafes a short drive away for breakfast or lunch, including the Old Brewery and Udder Farm.

Lovely and clean cottage with all the facilities needed for a good restful holiday. A bonus was the field next door for my dog to exercise in and the little brook where we observed and videoed with great pleasure two sets of ducks and their babies! The owner was friendly but unobtrusive and got someone to help fix the misbehaving TV promptly. Would like to stay there again one day.
