Perfect place and location to escape the rat race, relax and enjoy the fantastic scenery. Still only a few minutes by car to Wolsingham for essentials.
Cottage well kitted out, heating efficient and well equipped kitchen. Lots of walks on your doorstep, moors or Hamsterley Forest. Second stay in 12 months and ideal for us.

Blackburn Cottage Barn is simply beautiful.
The views, wildlife, peacefulness, fresh air and unspoiled surroundings are stunning.
The cottage itself is well equipped, cosy and extremely well thought out.
Great for walking, hiking and exploring the outdoors. Lovely enclosed garden so great for families and pets.
We only wished we had booked to stay a bit longer.

What a lovely place! Our first impressions when walking in the property was that it was clean and spacious and even though it’s in the middle of nowhere, sometimes that’s exactly what you need. There was 6 of us (2 adults, 4 children) and it was perfect for us, we loved all of the windows where you can sit and watch outside. The barn doors in the living room were a bonus, we’d definitely come back!
