Nestled in the idyllic village of Castle Combe is this charming, Grade II listed terraced cottage, Fox Den Cottage.
Built in the 1700s, this split-level property is set over three floors with character features throughout, an enclosed garden, and sits within the Cotswolds AONB; perfect for families, couples and friends alike! Be welcomed into the stone cottage by a spacious living/dining room with exposed beams, original fireplaces and feature stone walls.
Settle into the sofas and armchairs by the warmth of the woodburning stove on cold nights with a good book in hand or your favourite show on the TV. Set the large dining table, whilst the group's chef whips up a home-cooked meal in the kitchen.
Climb the 10 steps to find the stylish, contemporary kitchen with an electric cooker, dishwasher and a wine cooler to toast to your holiday with a cool glass of wine.
Just next door to the kitchen is a well-appointed shower room with a walk-in shower and washing machine to quickly clean walking gear ready for a new day. On summer evenings, why not spend time in your private, enclosed garden? You'll catch the last of the sunshine from the lawn or tuck into an alfresco dinner on the outdoor seating! From the living/dining room, climb the characterful, spiral staircase to find the first of two bedrooms; a super-king-size and a king-size offer ample storage space, exposed beams and classic cottage windows.
Up another set of stairs leads you to the second-floor double with exposed wooden beams and vaulted ceilings for a unique, snug space to rest your head, along with your own en-suite bathroom! Be sure to explore the quaint village of Castle Combe where your cottage resides, home to The Old Stables coffee shop and The Castle Inn, as well as The Manor House; this fabulous, 14th-century manor hosts a golf club, fine dining and formal gardens.
Venture into Castle Combe Woods for a stunning circular walk right from your doorstep, whilst just next door is the village of Yatton Keynell, a historic village with a Post Office shop and the 17th-century Bell Inn. Settled in the Cotswolds AONB, there are a range of walks and hikes available, including the nearby Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, a Victorian landscape with trails winding through it, a lovely escape on a summer's day! Spend the day wandering the picturesque streets of Bath and visit the Roman Baths, one of the many museums or stop for lunch in one of the traditional pubs.
The National Trust's Prior Park Landscape Garden is perfect for romantic strolls with spectacular views of Bath from above! A classic cottage in the Cotswolds, choose Fox Den Cottage for your rural retreat.

Outstanding location, facilities, charm, and cleanliness. Very close to central Castle Combe. There are narrow, steep stairs to reach bedrooms, so this would not work for those with mobility impairments, but otherwise it is an excellent option. Watch for morning visits from a spectacular pheasant in the back garden.

Great property, well equipped and clean. Beautiful garden which was great to use on sunny days. Shower in the upstairs bedroom is very difficult to control the temperature and pulses between hot & cold. Parking is a challenge- on a busy bank holiday weekend, finding parking in the road or the paid parking area was very difficult
