The house is situated at an altitude of almost 1000 meters and is not far from the shore of the lake of the same name, nestled in the unique hilly and forest landscape of the low mountain range. A supermarket with an attached bakery can be reached in just 3 minutes by car or a 15-minute walk. The Hochschwarzwald fun park is located in the adjacent spa park.

The extensive network of well-signposted hiking trails runs directly by the house, ideal for hiking or cycling.

In winter, you can enjoy 60 km of cross-country ski trails. Studio 1208 is located 3 km from the nearest downhill ski slope in Fischbach and a 15-minute drive from the alpine ski area on the Feldberg, the highest mountain in the Black Forest.

The nearby Schluchsee lake invites you to go fishing, diving, surfing, and sailing.

Europa Park in Rust can be reached in about 1 hour by car.

Freiburg im Breisgau is a 40-minute drive away.
