The apartment is located in Colle di Compito (15 km from Lucca), a small medieval village in the municipality of Capannori. The village is well known for its landscape with olive trees and for its parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, built on a previous Romanesque building.

Known as the "land of the camellia" due to the impressive cultivations of this flower of Asian origins, the municipal territory of Capannori includes about forty smaller localities, including small medieval villages and almost 150 noble villas (from the 15th to the 19th century) scattered among the hills.


Among the main attractions of Capannori, it is worth mentioning
- Villa Torrigiani (18 km, 30 minutes by car), built in the 16th century and whose garden was awarded as "Italy's most beautiful park" in 2018;

- Pieve di Compito (6 km, 10 minutes by car), known as "the village of camellias";

- the "Oak of the Witches" (20 km, 30 minutes by car), an imposing tree around which, according to the legend, the witches of the area danced, also known as the "Pinocchio's Oak", as it is believed to have inspired Collodi about the scene of the puppet's hanging in the homonymous book.

- Il Giardinetto restaurant: 800m (9 minutes on foot);
