Pittulongu is well known for its long, white sandy beach which is ideal for families, thanks to its clear, shallow waters, which are safe for bathing and ideal for snorkelling. On the main beach, you can hire sun loungers and umbrellas, as well as jet-skis and windsurfing boards for the more adventurous. There are also fine coastal hikes with views of the famous island of Tavolara. The island of Tavolara claims to be the smallest kingdom in the world and is well worth a day trip for hiking, swimming and lunch at the famous Da Tonino restaurant, run by the island’s current king. The town of Pittulongu itself is home to many excellent restaurants which cater to all ages, with local Sardinian specialities and classic Italian cuisine. There are some amenities in the town, including shops and pharmacies however, you are advised to bring your own car when staying at the property. Olbia airport is just an 11-minute drive from the apartment. If you plan to arrive by ferry from Livorno or Civitavecchia the ferry terminal in Olbia is just a 15-minute drive away
