The cottage is located in the historic centre of Agüimes, an urban centre of great artistic, historical and cultural value, faithfully representing the identity of the Canarian people, the village of Agüimes is situated on the south-eastern slopes of the island of Gran Canaria. It covers 76 km2 and has a mild climate (20ºC annual average) with little rainfall. From the traditional hamlet of Temisas, in the highest part of the municipality, to the fishing village of Arinaga, Agüimes combines its history, its aboriginal sites, its traditional architecture and its beautiful landscapes with the hospitality of its inhabitants and its great wealth of folklore and craftsmanship.
