With its crescent of white sand, turquoise water and lush vegetation, Carbis Bay is a bucket-list destination on Cornwall’s iconic north coast and boasts a world-class family friendly beach as well as ideal water sports conditions. Board and beach hire companies abound offering SUP lessons, tours and kayak safaris that cater to all abilities, so days spent paddling the surf or playing on the sand are firmly on the agenda. Dining out options include stunning beach front restaurants like the Beach Club, while more of the foodie and art culture of the area can be relished in nearby St Ives; within easy reach by car it's also just a short, scenic journey by train and is reported to be one of the queen's favourite routes.
