Covered entrance area leading to the living/sleeping room with a single bed, pull-out bed, dining area (corner bench and 3 chairs) as well as a kitchenette with a built-in stove (3 plates, oven), refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle.

Toilet. Located on the outskirts of Saas-Balen, picturesquely situated by the Vispa river and the cross-country ski trail (on the other side of the stream).
The holiday village consists of a total of 24 chalets and a reception building.
The stop for the free post bus is located directly above the holiday chalets on Saastalstrasse.
Saas-Balen with shopping facilities and a restaurant is approx. 400 m away, Saas-Grund with a wider range of amenities and a modern gondola to the Hohsaas ski area is 3 km away, and the chic holiday resort of Saas-Fee (paid parking) is 8 km away.
The nearest town of Visp, with outdoor pools, an indoor swimming pool, and further recreational activities, is 20 km away. Each chalet has its own parking space, a terrace with furniture, and a small lawn/meadow area.
Internet reception is only available at the central reception building and in the lounge area there. The small chalets are furnished and equipped in a holiday-appropriate and functional manner; however, they appear quite cozy due to the extensive use of wood.

Saastal: This beautiful, worth-visiting valley with the very well-known holiday resorts of Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, Saas-Almagell, and of course the sophisticated Saas-Fee has been a focal point of winter and summer sports in Switzerland for many decades.
The 3 smaller villages of Balen, Grund, and Almagell are located in the valley and offer numerous opportunities for a quiet yet varied and sporty holiday throughout the winter and summer, thanks to two own, very sunny ski areas (Hohsaas ski area in Saas-Grund up to 2400 m altitude, 35 km of slopes, and Saas-Almagell ski area also up to 2400 m altitude, 13 km of slopes) and continuous cross-country ski trails as well as numerous (winter) hiking paths and mountain bike trails between the villages and the Mattmark reservoir. The direct connection of all 3 villages via a free post bus to Saas-Fee is ideal for guests (only valid for holders of the Saastalcard, which is provided to our guests) directly up to Saas-Fee.
Thus, you can actually leave your car parked during your holiday.

SAAS-FEE: This world-famous holiday resort with its impressive glaciers is located in a small hollow at an altitude of 1,800 m and is surrounded by 13 four-thousand-meter peaks, including well-known mountains such as the Dom, Alphubel, Nadelhorn, Täschhorn, and Allalin.
The entire Saas-Fee is car-free and can only be visited on foot or by electric taxi.
At the entrance to the village, a huge, multi-story parking terminal (paid) offers ample parking facilities. The ski area is remarkable and is used as a training camp by many national ski teams; after all, Saas-Fee is the only year-round ski resort in Switzerland (in summer reduced to the glacier ski area), besides Zermatt.
While the lifts in the valley are more suitable for beginners, over 20 lift facilities (cable cars, chairlifts, and drag lifts) access around 100 km of downhill slopes up to 3,600 m; higher up, red and black runs predominate and are a true pleasure, especially for experienced skiers. Cross-country skiing: 6 km of high-altitude trails in Saas-Fee and 26 km of cross-country ski trails in the valley between Saas-Balen, Saas-Grund, and Saas-Almagell. Further offerings: numerous ski and snowboard schools, cross-country ski school, ski kindergarten, toboggan run, indoor tennis courts, snowshoe hikes, natural ice rinks, curling, ice stock sport.
A wide range of activities in Saas-Fee also for non-skiers (pubs, discotheques, bars, etc.). Summer activities in the Saastal: numerous hiking and high-altitude trails (nearly 450 km in total) of all difficulty levels, a 900 m long summer toboggan run, a 9-hole alpine golf course, mini-golf, high ropes course, canyoning via ferrata, canyoning cable car (Tyrolia or Flying Fox), barbecue areas, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, mountaineering, paragliding.
Over 70 km of mountain bike trails with bike rental in various villages. Direkt am Fluss gelegenes Chaletdorf.
Die Postauto-Haltestelle ist gleich davor an der Strasse, mit der Saas-Fee-Card kostenlose Nutzung von Postauto und Bergbahnen.
So bleibt das Auto stehen und man fährt mit den Öffis zum Wandern.
