Welcome to the semi-detached house - Große Freiheit - in our thatched Captain's House Kittler in Wiek on Rügen. It is located at the end of a very quiet residential estate in the resort of Wiek and is just a few minutes' walk from Wieker Bodden. From here you have an ideal starting point for tours of all kinds! Go cycling, hiking on the wonderful Wittow peninsula or from the beautiful little Wiek harbour, you can take a trip to the island of Hiddensee, eat a delicious fish sandwich on site or enjoy the wonderful sunsets. Take these great memories home with you!

Please note that pets / final pet cleaning, bed linen and towels are not included in the holiday price, but can be booked in addition. The spa tax for Wiek is also not yet included in the travel price and will be applied for by the landlord before arrival at the tourist office. If you have any questions, you can reach us by phone.
Information about the accommodation / property:
You enter the semi-detached house Große Freiheit (for up to 9 people) via the separate entrance on the ground floor. From there you reach the kitchen, guest WC, a staircase to the upper floor, as well as the particularly light-flooded living/dining area, with a cosy couch (in the evening this can quickly be converted into a sleeping area), a recamiere for relaxing, comfortable armchairs and a dining area with solid wood dining table.
From the dining area in the living room you can also access the kitchen, which is equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, toaster, egg cooker, blender, etc.. A washing machine is located in a separate storage room accessible from the kitchen.
The ground floor and upper floor are fully tiled and the underfloor heating provides a special cosy atmosphere in cooler temperatures. You can also spend pleasant and relaxing hours in front of the crackling fireplace in the living/dining area.
On the upper floor, there is a large daylight bathroom with dormer window. Equipped with bathtub, shower, double washbasin, LED mirror and hairdryer.
Two larger separate bedrooms, each furnished with a large double bed (1.80/2.00), bedside cabinets, a spacious wardrobe and mirror. Both bedrooms are large enough to accommodate a baby bed.
An additional sleeping possibility for 1 person is located in a small room, via this you can also reach the cosy attic via a wooden staircase, where there are 2 further single beds and a pull-out bed for 2 people.
From the small room, as well as the adjoining bedroom, you can access the south-west-facing balcony with a view of the neighbouring meadows, where you can watch grazing Galloway cattle, sheep and horses. Not far behind is the Wieker Bodden.
The large patio door in the living room leads to the south-facing terrace with fenced-in garden area, where dogs can run around to their heart's content. Here you will find, among other things, a large table with seating for up to 9 people, 2 sun loungers, a large parasol and a wooden barbecue. You can start the day perfectly with breakfast in the sun or end the day with a cosy barbecue. A small garden shed offers space to store bicycles or similar items.
Location information:
You can reach the unique stone beach of Dranske, Nonnevitz, the car park at Cape Arkona / Vitt or the fine sandy beach of the Baltic seaside resort of Juliusruh on the Schaabe in just a few minutes by car.
There is a small supermarket, a savings bank, pizzeria and restaurants, a kite surf camp, a fishing shop and the possibility to rent bicycles directly in the village. There is also a bakery for your breakfast rolls or a piece of cake with your coffee. Netto, Norma or Getränkeland can be reached in a few minutes by car.
