The holiday farm has three fully equipped flats. These are arranged around a beautiful courtyard garden and each has a separate entrance and its own terrace with plenty of privacy. There is a 4 x 8 metre swimming pool with its own terrace, which guests can use from May to September (12.00-20.00). The COTTAGE is the former farmhouse. This house can accommodate up to five people. The cottage is detached and is located right next to the swimming pool.
There is a large kitchen, a cosy living room, a toilet, a bathroom and the garden. There are three bedrooms equipped with comfortable beds: one bedroom with a large double bed adjoining a room with a single bed; one bedroom with a single bed; one bedroom with a 135 cm wide single bed ("Doubler"). All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, wardrobe, wardrobe and bedside tables. The kitchen has a large gas hob with electric oven and grill, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, fridge and a cosy dining area. In the living room, which is open to the kitchen, there are comfortable armchairs and a sofa, TV, DVD and a wood-burning stove, a washing machine and tumble dryer. Towels, bed linen, kitchen towels and drinking water are included in the price.
The village of Alcuéscar with its restaurants and cafés is three kilometres away. Here you can do your daily shopping in the well-stocked supermarkets. There is a bakery, an artisan butcher and shops. On Fridays there is a weekly market with a selection of fresh vegetables, fruit and local products such as cheese and cold meats. The finca is located directly on the Way of St James and the Via de la Plata. 850 metres from the finca there are several restaurants and a petrol station where you can also buy fresh bread and local produce.
Dogs and horses are welcome, but please let us know in advance. Although the finca is only a five-minute drive from the Cáceres-Mérida motorway (A66), you cannot hear or see it.
*Bringing dogs and other (domestic) animals into the pool area used by guests of the holiday accommodation is prohibited by law.
*Pets are not allowed to roam freely on the grounds of Casa Rural and near the stables. Pets must be kept on a lead or kept close to the holiday home. This is necessary to avoid disturbing other guests and/or our animals.
*Dogs are allowed to run free in the farm fields, provided they do not disturb the grazing animals, the vegetable garden and the animals living there (e.g. nesting birds, turtles, rabbits and hares).
*A maximum of 2 pets allowed per accommodation.
*Pets are subject to a surcharge.
*Pets must be registered in advance.
*Pets must be microchipped, have the required vaccinations and present a valid ID upon arrival.
The holiday home is an ideal starting point for visiting Cáceres, Mérida, Trujillo and Guadalupe (historic cities). In the countryside there are natural parks (e.g. the Montfragüe National Park) and several reservoirs (Proserpina, Orellana). From the finca there are many hiking and cycling trails that lead through valleys, hills, forests, marshes and lakes.
