The Hayloft is situated within the Peak District National Park where there are plenty of walking and cycling routes and magnificent stately homes.. 1 step to entrance.

Set on a working farm high on the hills between Charlesworth and Glossop, and adjacent to the owners’ home, The Hayloft provides a perfect opportunity for those looking for a rural break within the Peak District National Park.
Set out over three floors, the location provides spectacular panoramic views over Kinder Scout and the surrounding area, with the convenience of ample shops and amenities close by.
For anyone with farming questions, the friendly owners are actively involved in teaching people about farming life.
The owners have two stables available and they are just 100 yards from the Pennine Bridleway, which is at the end of their farm track. For those wanting to explore the area on foot, ample scenic walks radiate and pass through the area.
If you’re out and about by car, although rural, there’s easy access to the surrounding Peak District towns and villages.
The traditional village of Charlesworth is just 5 minutes by car, and home to village shops and some good food serving pubs.
The popular and bustling market town of Glossop is around 10 minutes and here you’ll find ample shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a direct train link into Manchester.
The larger village of Hayfield is also around 10 minutes, and incredibly popular with walkers due its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Venturing further afield within 30 minutes you have the beautiful village of Castleton, Edale which is home to the start or end of the Pennine Way, and the spa town of Buxton, complete with its new 5 star Spa Hotel (2020).
The ever popular market town of Bakewell and Chatsworth House and estate can be reached in around 45 minutes, as can the Derwent Valley reservoirs, where The Dambusters practised low-level flying in World War II.

Sally was lovely, welcoming and helpful. The cottage had a lot of local information regarding walks etc
The hayloft was clean and tidy.
Downside for us no outside space at all.
Beautiful views but being only 5ft tall couldn't see out of any of the windows.
The kitchen was extremely dark had to always have the light on.

We had a lovely week in this cottage.The views are beautiful, you can walk out from the door to many great walk routes.It is a venue for the fit, a very hilly area.Well worth the visit with loads to see near bye. Also there are some lovely places to eat near bye.The owners were lovely and very helpful.

Perfect holidays for walking with my two border collies. Lovely working farm . Warm , clean cottage. Very friendly and helpful owners. Exactly how it’s showing on the photos on the site. We really enjoyed it
