This semi-detached holiday property has views across Torbay from the upstairs landing, from the rear of the property downstairs, and from the garden. Close by are the Napoleonic forts which are now part of the Berry Head Nature Reserve and can be visited at any time. The North Fort has a coastguard lookout station and an underground Cold War Royal Observer Corps Post located within its grounds. Berry Head Nature Reserve is also home to a colony of greater horseshoe bats. Shoalstone outdoor saltwater pool, ¼ mile away, is an Art Deco icon of the south Devon coastline. This is a popular destination with walkers, day-trippers, fishermen, rock-climbers, naturalists and historians, making it one of Torbay’s top ten most visited attractions. Take a ferry to Torquay with its bustling shops, bistros, cafés and the coastal zoo, or a boat trip to maritime Dartmouth, where you can ride on the Dartmouth steam railway or take a leisurely cruise along the River Dart. Visit Greenway House and Gardens, Agatha Christie’s stately home, and Dartmoor, with its tors and quaint villages. Fine golf courses are a short drive. Beach ¼ mile.
