The Thatch Cottage is a Grade II listed, thatched cottage in South Petherwin, near Launceston. Exposed beams and low ceilings lend character to the home, which sleeps up to 4 guests. In the living and dining room, a wood burner and Smart TV set the scene for relaxed evenings; an initial supply of coal and logs is included.
Each of the 2 bedrooms has a 4 ft 6 in double bed, with one bedroom on the ground floor and the other upstairs. There is a shower room on each floor, and 2 steps lead to the ground-floor shower room. The kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher, while a washing machine is also available.
The enclosed garden is arranged over 3 levels, with a deck and an elevated patio furnished for outdoor meals, plus a barbecue. Please note that there are drops in the garden. Private parking is available for 2 cars.
Launceston’s ancient castle, golf course and steam railway are around 1½ miles away. A shop is approximately 1¼ miles away, and a pub is within 1 mile. The cottage is also a base for exploring both of Cornwall’s coasts.
Bed linen, electricity and heating are included, but towels are not provided. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Check-in is from 15:00 to 23:59, and check-out is by 10:00.

Der Ofen im Wohnzimmer das Kartenmaterial war ausgesprochen hilfreich, der Garten sehr gepflegt, die Nachbarn hilfreich.
Dazu möchte ich nichts bemerken.

Beautiful atmospheric cottage in a lovely setting with a fantastic garden to go with it.
Would definitely go again. There is plenty of good walking with the coast path close by, also houses and gardens to visit. Great farm shop just over the border at Lifton in Devon.
