Get to know this 18th century (former) hunting lodge! Surrounded by a lovely wooded park, in the countryside and 2,5 km away from Valognes, sometimes referred to as the Versailles of Normandy. This characteristic vacation home sits on a property with age old trees and a private driveway. On the large walled courtyard you have a south-west facing terrace with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. You will have more than enough privacy! The house has a classic interior decorated and a great atmosphere. There is a foosball table in the basement. The living room has a TV, DVD and several board games. On rainy days you can have a great time indoors!
You are on the peninsula of Cotentin. You must remember to pay a visit to the D-Day beaches (18 km). This is where the Allies landed in 1944. Visit the famous Airborne museum in Sainte-Mère-Église (20 km). This place is famous for the parachutist doll hanging off the church tower, a memorial to parachutist John Steele, who was caught on the church steeple on D-Day.
The seaside resort of Barneville-Carteret is worth a visit; from the harbour you can take the boat to the Channel Islands Jersey and Guernsey.
