Halfway up, between La Sapinière and La Fustière, La Genévrière (23 sq.m. cabin) has, without doubt, one of the finest views of the river Ain.

Large wooden staircase up to terrace (15 sq.m.) nearly as big as the cabin itself! The rectangular terrace, in leafy setting with commanding view of river Ain, faces east so is sunny until 2pm.

Charming cabin has picture window and 3 separate areas.

To right as you enter: dining area with kitchenette (2 ring ceramic hob, fridge, microwave) & lime green 'garden' table.

At back: visible sleeping area (single bunk beds) with safety net and to their left an 'invisible' sleeping area for 2 people (fold-down double bed) enabling space to be used for other purposes when bed folded up.

Shower room/WC at back of main room.|On arrival you are given a kit of 'basic' products.

Best bits: wonderful views from both outside and inside, clever lay-out of cabin, giant porthole over dining area giving the cabin a 'nautical' air, nets around terrace and bunk beds, restful wood décor.

La Genévrière is part of a 'nature' site with total of 7 cabins or lodges which blend perfectly into this forest of box trees in the heights above Serrières-sur-Ain, overhanging the river Ain.

Each cabin has its own identity and is built on stilts 2 metres above ground, with totally secure access and terraces.

Outstanding location in the Ain gorges: canoeing, rowing, swimming.
