Vacation in architectural monuments combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the ‘Vacation in architectural monuments’ foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.

Public transport: by SBB to Murten station, then continue by train to Münchenwiler-Courgevaux (then approx. 16 minutes on foot) or by bus to Münchenwiler to the Münchenwiler Dorf stop (approx. 10 minutes on foot). You can also get there by taxi from Murten.

Extras: The floors are made of wood and stone, which is why we recommend good slippers. The historic house was not fitted with a soundproof ceiling. It is possible that the guest party in the other flat may be heard. There is a road behind the house.

Although it is technically equipped to modern standards, we would like to point out that certain functional details such as window and door openers, stair handrails and step heights do not comply with current standards and may be a potential source of danger.
