In the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites is the small village of San Vigilio di Marebbe at 1201 m.a.s.l. - a popular holiday resort in summer and winter due to its extremely sunny location.

The Fanes Sennes Braies Nature Park with its picturesque hiking trails is also nearby. A restaurant is in direct neighbourhood (120 m), many more as well as supermarkets and other shopping facilities can be found in the centre of the village (1.2 - 2.5 km or 3 - 5 minutes by car). And for the friends of winter sports: An entrance (Skiarea Miara) to the big ski area Plan de Corones, which is also a member of the Dolomiti Superski carousel, is already 1 km away, the ski bus starts directly in front of the house. For all guests of the Apartment House Désirée the cosy wellness area of the partner house Promberger in San Lorenzo is available free of charge. Parking spaces are available on the property.
