The 'Masseria Il Roseto ai Cappuccini' is a beautiful, recently renovated 18th century structure immersed in the Itria Valley, a few steps from the town of Martina Franca. Situated in a strategic position for discovering the Itria Valley and Puglia, it is characterised by white lime walls, dry stone walls and wide porticoes.
Inside the structure you will find a vast garden, common to the two flats, rich in flowers, native plants and majestic ornamental trees, a splendid old rose garden and an old chicken coop now used as a barbecue area.
The 2 flats, Casa dei Gelsomini and Casa delle Farfalle, both have a large veranda belonging to each flat, and can be connected to allow guests to enjoy the communicating spaces.
The Apartment dei Gelsomini is characterised by its splendid vaulting that preserves the original fresco. It includes a large bedroom with en suite bathroom, a living area with open kitchen and a beautiful veranda where you can relax.
We also offer our guests authentic experiences to live in contact with the locals. If interested, contact us and we will be happy to help you create your perfect holiday discovering the beauty of Italy.
Martina Franca, located on the southern Murgia plateau, is the heart of the Itria Valley. It is located in the centre of southern Apulia and its historic centre, of timeless beauty, still tells of the city's glorious past. The symbol of the city is the majestic Basilica of San Martino, located in the splendid Piazza del Plebiscito, as well as the Church of the Carmine, the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi and the Church of Sant'Antonio dei Cappuccini. In the central Piazza Roma is the Ducal Palace, the symbol of the city government, inside which are the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Museum of Pictorial Art.
Martina Franca's countryside extends into the heart of the Valle d'Itria among ancient trulli and wonderful woods. Martina Franca is in a strategic position to reach the long Ionian beaches such as Campomarino and Porto Cesareo, or the Adriatic coast: the nature reserve of Torre Guaceto, Torre Canne and Capitolo.
There is no better place than the porticoes of Piazza Maria Immacolata, where you can sip a good Martina Franca DOC wine and taste the city's typical dishes served as street food during the festivals, such as the involtini, also known as 'bombette', but above all the capocollo di Martina Franca: a meat sausage seasoned with red wine and flavoured with Mediterranean spices.
The nearest airports and ports are Brindisi (50 minutes) and Bari (75 minutes).
