Between the historic centre of Cisternino and the seaside town of Torre Canne lies the Borgo Santa Clara complex, immersed in a unique setting, between land sky and sea, in an authentic and genuine local context: a daily fresco of Puglia that enchants by offering unique emotions.
The complex has a private furnished outdoor area and a swimming pool shared with the other 3 flats. The Gemimma flat consists of a living area with a large and spacious open kitchen, a bathroom and a double bedroom; the flat also has a private furnished garden, and at the request of guests it can be communicating with the Carmelina suite, with which it shares proximity to the pool.
*The pool will be closed from 7 November to 7 April.
We also offer our guests authentic experiences of living with the locals. If interested, contact us and we will be happy to help you create your perfect holiday discovering the beauty of Italy.
Cisternino is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It is located in the Itria Valley, is rich in trulli and boasts a renowned historic centre. The most valuable historical buildings are the Norman-Swabian Tower and the Church of San Nicola, known as the Mother Church, both majestic and in the central square. The whitewashed houses, alleyways and courtyards, the typical flowered balconies, which together with a plate of the typical roast bombette biscuits and a glass of local wine strengthen the sense of community.
These are places where time seems to stand still and where it is still possible to enjoy the authenticity of the past.
The Cisternino countryside extends into the heart of the Valle d'Itria. Cisternino is in the centre of southern Apulia. Cisternino is nature, history, culture, food and wine, and sacred/profane. Cisternino is tradition. Cisternino is beauty.
A few kilometres away is Ceglie Messapica, a centre of tradition and enogastronomy, Ostuni, a village known to the world as the 'White City', Alberobello whose famous trulli have been a world heritage site since 1996. About 25 km to the north we find the Egnazia Archaeological Park, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with a charming historic centre. To the north (70 km) we find Bari, the gateway to the East, while moving south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving westwards there is Taranto, the heart of Magna Graecia and finally Matera, characteristic for its sassi and European capital of culture.
The nearest airports and ports are Brindisi (50 km) and Bari (80 km).
