Cisternino is one of Italy's most beautiful villages, nestled in the Itria Valley, rich in *trulli* (traditional Apulian dry stone huts) and boasting a renowned historic center.
The most significant historical buildings are the Norman-Swabian Tower and the Church of San Nicola, known as the Mother Church, both majestic and located in the central square.
The whitewashed houses, alleys and courtyards, and typical flower-adorned balconies are very charming, all contributing to the sense of belonging to the community, especially when enjoyed with a plate of typical roasted *bombette* and a glass of local wine.
These are places where time seems to have stood still, and where it is still possible to experience the authenticity of yesteryear.
The countryside of Cisternino extends into the heart of the Itria Valley.
Cisternino is located in the center of southern Puglia.
Cisternino represents nature, history, culture, food and wine, and the sacred/profane.
Cisternino is tradition.
Cisternino is beauty.
A few kilometers away are Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and gastronomy; Ostuni, a village known worldwide as the "White City"; and Alberobello, whose famous *trulli* have been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1996.
Approximately 25 km to the north, we find the Archaeological Park of Egnazia, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with charming historic centers.
To the north (70 km) is Bari, the gateway to the East, while heading south, we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi, before reaching Lecce, the capital of Baroque architecture.
Moving west is Taranto, the heart of Magna Graecia, and finally Matera, characterized by its *sassi* (ancient cave dwellings) and former European Capital of Culture.
The nearest airports and ports are Brindisi (50 km) and Bari (80 km).

Prachtige locatie, fijn zwembad.
