At the foot of the Zugspitze and only a few kilometres from Garmisch-Partenkirchen lies the beautiful Zugspitz village of Grainau, where this modern, approx. 68 m² holiday apartment for 2 persons is located.
The high-quality and comfortably furnished apartment is located on the 1st floor of the Rieger holiday home and consists of a living room with a dining area and very well-equipped kitchen, one spacious bedroom with double bed and a private bathroom.
Enjoy the wonderful mountain view of the Alps from one of the two apartment balconies or make yourself comfortable in the sun on one of the provided deck chairs in the garden.
Our little guests can play undisturbed in the garden and have a look at the chickens and sheep running around freely.
Use the holiday apartment Waxenstein as a starting point for various activities throughout the year: for extensive walks and hikes at the foot of the Zugspitze or mountain bike tours past crystal clear mountain lakes and flowering mountain meadows.
For winter sports fans, there is a cross-country ski run in the immediate vicinity and the Zugspitze and Garmisch Classic ski areas entice guests with varied pistes, unique impressions and the terrific World Cup downhill runs of the Kandahar Round.
The apartment is quietly located in the centre of Grainau and offers shopping facilities and restaurants nearby.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is located 6 km away from Grainau and Seefeld in Tyrol can be reached after 45 km.
Directly at the house there are own parking lots available, skis and bicycles can be stored comfortably in the in-house storeroom.
Upon arrangement, arrival after 20 o'clock can also be organised.
An extra bed can be provided for a fee.

Das Haus liegt direkt unterhalb des Waxensteins. Wir hatten bei schönem Wetter beim Frühstücken den direkten Blick auf den Berg - wirklich beeindruckend. Viele Wanderungen kann man direkt vom Haus aus starten. Die Ruhe ist himmlisch; Grainau ist ein hübsches Örtchen, abends findet man in der Umgebung genügend gute Restaurants.
Die Beleuchtung der Wohnung dürfte gemütlicher sein. Bei schlechtem Wetter, wenn man doch mal Zeit drinnen verbringen muss, ist ja ein schönes Licht ein kleiner Trost.
