The guest house, newly built in 1997, is located about 50m from the approx. 400 year old farm "Ruheckle". The guest house and the farm are in an open location, in the middle of meadows and forests. The holidaymaker has a magnificent view to the southwest over the peaks of the Upper Black Forest to the Feldberg, Schauinsland and Belchen, and to the northwest to the heights of the Kandel. The most beautiful hiking trails of the Upper Black Forest lead past the house in the immediate vicinity. The nearby village of Waldau can be reached via wonderful hiking trails in 2.5 km. The Langenordnach and Jostal valleys can also be reached in a few kilometres. A true paradise for nature and hiking lovers. In winter, you can reach the cross-country ski trail "Schonach - Belchen" (Thurnerspur) in three minutes. The Waldau ski lift is a five-minute drive from the house. Titisee-Neustadt, Breitnau, Hinterzarten, St. Märgen, St. Peter, Glottertal and Freiburg are easily accessible by public transport. The 400-year-old farm is located in the southern part of the Black Forest at about 1030 m above sea level near the B500 (German Clock Road) from Hinterzarten to Furtwangen. Today, the farm is managed by Berthold Rombach as a part-time farm. Besides nine hectares of meadows and three hectares of forest, 12 cattle and calves are kept. On the farm, several cats that run around freely and a dwarf rabbit are the children's favourites. Nordic walking enthusiasts will find ideal trails of all levels of difficulty in the immediate vicinity of the farm. The beautiful altitude with panoramic views over the Black Forest offers views over the Rhine plain to the Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges, and on a clear day you can even see the Jungfrau, Eiger and Mönch.

Please always contact the landlord in good time before your arrival to discuss the arrival time.
Deviating cancellation conditions of the host
1. you can withdraw from the rental contract at any time - if possible by written declaration. The declaration becomes effective on the day it is received by us. 2. 2. the case that you do not start the journey for reasons for which we are not responsible is equivalent to withdrawal. 3. we demand compensation for the expenses incurred by us. When calculating the compensation, any other letting of the holiday flat must be taken into account. 4. 4. we claim the following expenses (cancellation fees): in case of cancellation up to 45th day before departure 10%, at least EUR 25,00 as compensation for advertising new guests; in case of cancellation up to 30th day before departure 25%; in case of cancellation up to 22nd day before departure 50%; in case of cancellation thereafter 80%; in case of no-show 100%. Up to the start of the rental period, you may request that a third person take over your rights and obligations under the rental contract. This requires written notification to us (rebooking). 5. With our confirmation of the change of participant, the new participant enters into your rights and obligations from the rental contract. We will charge you a flat-rate fee of EUR 25.00 for the necessary confirmation of the rebooking. 6. We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance with your insurance office within one week of receiving the booking confirmation.
Important payment information and other conditions
The host reserves the right to request a deposit and will contact you directly in this regard. The prices quoted do not include visitor's tax. The local tourist tax is obligatory and has to be paid on site. Visitor's tax fee per day: children from 6 years to 15 years 1.- Euro, from 16 years 2,20.- Euro.

The comfortably furnished holiday flats are located in the newly built guest house and each have two large balconies, which round off the beautiful view of the magnificent surroundings of the Upper Black Forest. You can enjoy relaxing days in a cosy ambience. The larger flat (No. 1) has two bedrooms and a dishwasher. Both flats have a bathroom with shower and WC. The bedrooms offer generous space for quiet and restful nights. Both flats are equipped with a dining area and a comfortable couch. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with oven, fridge, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. Security has also been thought of, there is a central smoke alarm system in the entire house. In the garden, there is a variety of playground equipment for children, such as a swing, slide, sandpit, etc.. A large garden house invites to sociable barbecue evenings. There are several parking spaces in front of the house. The three-star holiday flat no. 1 is approx. 44 sqm in size. It has two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with a loft bed). The bathroom is equipped with shower and WC. The living room is equipped with a kitchenette, dining set and a sofa. To the north and south there is a balcony with seating and a fantastic view. You have to bring your own towels.
