The place for his "Royal Villa", built in 1853, was wisely chosen by the then regent Max II: The elegant building is enthroned on the outskirts of Berchtesgaden on the slopes of the Kälberstein / in the green and yet only a few minutes' walk from the historic town center with its magnificently painted houses and its interesting castle, its nice stores and inviting restaurants. The Ruler's House rests at the same time in the heart of the magnificent mountain world. Whether Kehlstein, Königssee or salt mines - all sights and natural wonders of the Berchtesgadener Land can be reached quickly and easily from here. Even the princely city of Salzburg is not far away.

Arrival Description
Arrival by train to Berchtesgaden train station. The distance from the station to the Royal Villa is only 2.5 km (bus connection). By car via the A8 freeway, exit Piding in the direction of Bad Reichenhall - Berchtesgaden at the traffic circle of the new Haus der Berge go straight on. After the Luitpoldpark on the left (mini golf course) turn sharp left, uphill into Kälbersteinstraße. The Royal Villa is clearly visible on your right. Drive past the villa and turn right into the parking lot. From Salzburg airport you can reach us in about 20 min (26 km), from Munich airport it is about 200 km.

Description of the accommodation
The spacious 1-room apartment (40 sqm) impresses with light oak parquet flooring, high wooden ceiling and fine carpets. The comfortable double four-poster bed, the cozy sofa corner and the dining group by the window as well as lovingly restored antique walnut furniture enhance the unique ambience - ideal for wedding couples and romantics! The bathroom and separate fitted kitchen are kept modern yet appropriate, as is the equipment with TV, microwave, CD player, WLAN and much more. There is a private parking space, a bicycle cellar and a walk-in closet.
