This lovely cottage, with its relaxing rooms & all the facilities to provide a home away from home, is in the heart of Wells, England’s smallest city. Unusually for Wells it offers a parking space for a small or medium car, so you can park your car, relax and explore all Wells has to offer.
Facilities include kitchen/diner, lounge with stairs to first floor; double and twin bedrooms, sleeping 4 (with space for travel cot); modern bathroom including bath with electric shower over and heated towel rail.
The Cathedral is probably the best known historic building in Wells, but there are lots more to discover. Vicars Close, said to be the oldest continuously inhabited street in Europe, the Bishops Palace, still home to the Bishop of Bath and Wells, a tablet commemorating William Penn who founded Pennsylvania.
A fabulous market is held in Wells twice a week offering a wealth of goods. All this within 5 minutes walk! For outdoor types, the Somerset levels offer excellent flora and fauna and bird-watching, with renowned RSPB sites. For walkers, a vast wealth of footpaths criss-cross the area, including The East and West Mendip Way, provide something for all ranges of age and ability.
