Starting from January 1, 2019, we are expanding our holiday apartment with an additional bedroom, bringing the total living space to 70 sqm. This room will feature two single beds.
The holiday apartment spans 70 sqm; it has been completely newly furnished and leaves nothing to be desired.
It includes: 2 bedrooms, 1 living/dining room with an additional sofa bed, a modern kitchen, hallway, bathroom with shower/toilet, satellite TV, and free WiFi.
You can conveniently access the apartment on the first floor via a separate entrance. On the balcony, used exclusively by you, you can enjoy your breakfast in good weather or a pleasant evening with a glass of fine Riesling.
You will have an unparalleled view of the wooded ridges of the Schwarzwälder Hochwald and the adjacent pastures.
A sunbathing lawn with an attached barbecue area, as well as a car garage, are also available for your sole use. We warmly welcome you to a natural paradise that invites you to go hiking, cycling, and sightseeing. The modernly furnished holiday apartment is suitable for a wonderful vacation in the Hochwald.
Due to the nearby federal highways B 268 and B 407, the Saar and Moselle rivers, as well as Saarland and Luxembourg, are easily accessible. Short house history: Our house, or rather holiday apartment, is located in the settlement community of Vierherrenborn, which was originally settled by 42 farming families.
Much has changed over time due to the structural changes in agriculture.
Our dairy farm will therefore not be continued by the next generation.
In 1980, Christa and Franz Mersch married and took over their parents' farm.
In 1981 and 1984, their two sons Roland and Thomas were born, neither of whom now lives at home.
This freed up a lot of living space, and we converted these rooms on the first floor into a holiday apartment. The apartment has a separate entrance, is modernly and brightly furnished, and comfortably equipped. In 2020, the area around the holiday apartment was made even more family-friendly; a private playground for your children provides entertainment, whether climbing, swinging, or sliding, no wishes remain unfulfilled. The very quiet location and a magnificent view invite you to linger. The recently established and modernized barbecue area with a modern gas grill also contributes to a feel-good atmosphere. So that you can explore the natural paradise with a "built-in tailwind," we have purchased two brand-new e-bikes; simply switch them on, get on, and cycle away! Feel free to ask us about them. After 800m, you will reach your destination, the holiday apartment! From Trier: Leave Trier in the direction of Saarbrücken / Zerf. Follow the road for approx. 20 km and turn off at the Vierherrenborn bus stop.
Follow the K149 for 900m to the community center "Alte Schule," then turn left onto Zerfer Straße. After approx. 1 km, you will reach your destination, the holiday apartment! From the A8 / Merzig: Leave Merzig in the direction of Losheim am See (L157). Turn left after Brotdorf in the direction of Losheim am See (L157). At the intersection, drive straight ahead in the direction of Hausbach / Britten (L374). Turn left behind Britten onto the B268 in the direction of Trier.
