Welcome to the alpine hut! You can expect:
approx. 35 m², 1 floor at ground level, fenced property, dogs must be leashed (maternal cattle farming and hunting grounds around the hut), 1 family bedroom, bathroom with sink, walk-in shower, and toilet, radio, board game collection, wood-burning stove, furnished terrace, water trough, sunshade/loungers, brick grill, wood storage, storage room for bicycles and skis, 2 parking spaces directly at the hut. WINTER: Bookings from 3 nights.
Road closure from January - May! Arrival by touring skis, snowshoes, or a leisurely winter hike (luggage transport included) - approx. 1.5 hours (5.6 km) from the farm to the hut. Your summer in the mountains at the Romantic Hut Woken by birdsong or the whistles of marmots, we recommend enjoying the first rays of sunshine on the "sun bench" on the veranda.
Your view extends to the Anthaupten, the Bernkogel, which is a challenging climb, and the Kögerl – an optimal family hike of about 1.5 hours. Don't forget your binoculars, because the activity of your direct neighbors, the marmots, deer, and roe deer, fully replaces TV and internet and provides great entertainment.
Collecting mushrooms and picking berries in the forest behind the hut is not only fun but also pure natural enjoyment for the whole family. Your winter between romance and seclusion You are in a top ski touring and winter hiking area all around the hut! From January onwards, the journey itself becomes a ski touring experience, as the road is closed for winter until May. You park your car at the landlords' farm and together you will leisurely trek through the Rauris winter wonderland for about 1.5 hours.
In the meantime, your luggage will be transported to the hut by snowmobile.
During the ascent, you will learn all about the most beautiful tours and best routes in the immediate vicinity.
The landlords also have plenty of useful information about safety and culinary recommendations. The ski area in the neighboring town of Rauris, about 15 kilometers away, is considered a insider tip and is mainly preferred by locals.
However, well-known ski areas such as the Gastein lifts, Ski amadé around the Hochkönig, or the glacier ski area Kaprun / Zell am See, as well as the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, are located within a 40-kilometer radius.

Es war ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt. Ein traumhafter Blick auf die Berge, nette zuvorkommende Gastgeber und die absolute Ruhe zeichnen diese Hütte aus. Auch die Nähe zu dem grasenden Vieh verleiht der Hütte einen eigenen Charme. Optimal scheint die Anreise mit einem SUV oder vergleichbaren Fahrzeug zu sein da die Strecke von Embach hoch bis zur Hütte schon eine kleine Herausforderung sein kann.

Eine schöne Hütte zum Entspannen und Kommunikationsfrei vom Handy. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Ausblick beim Grillen unbezahlbar. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Eine rundum gelungene Woche.

Alles in allem war es ein super Aufenthalt. Die Hütte ist wirklich wunderbar geeignet um ein paar Tage abzuschalten und die wunderbare Umgebung zu genießen und zu erkunden.
