Brand new build 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house overlooking the Coastal Sand Dunes directly in between Lytham St Annes and Blackpool, which was originally the old Pontins Site.
There is an enclosed back garden and parking at the front for two cars. ‘Dune View’ has a unique location directly opposite to the sand dunes and the miles of beach that stretch between Lytham, Lytham St Annes and Blackpool. The Dunes are a protected conservation area, home to a habitat of some rare species of grasses and plants. The beach is popular with families, couples and singles alike, thanks to its gentle tides and golden sands, and is the perfect spot for building sandcastles, picnics, walking dogs or to just sit and enjoy the amazing sunsets. Cyclists are also well accommodated with extensive dedicated cycle paths and routes along the beach front.
Lytham St Annes centre is just 1 mile away and is a traditional Victorian seaside town with pier, bandstand, gardens and a good selection of shops and eateries. Just a few miles South of St Annes is the cosmopolitan town of Lytham, with its landmark windmill, championship golf courses and an excellent choice of bars, shops and restaurants. If you decide to stay in and enjoy a home cooked meal, there is a choice of two supermarkets within very close distance: Lidl 0.3 miles away, with a Morrissons and a retail park just 1 mile away.
There is also excellent and convenient access to public transport - There are buses from the main road outside Dune View into St Annes, Lytham and Blackpool, which means you can leave the car safely parked at the house without having to worry about traffic or parking. The Squires gate tram terminal is only a 2 min walk away, with trams every 10 mins or so taking you along the coast line into Blackpool, Bispham, Thornton-Cleveleys and Fleetwood.
Blackpool private Airport and helicopter terminal is a 7 min walk away, with Squires Gate train station only a 5 min walk away and takes you to Preston station for all major train connections.
No visit to the Fylde Coast would be complete without visiting Blackpool and its many attractions, such as: The Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, Sealife centre, zoo and Madame Tussauds, With Blackpool centre and the famous Tower and ballroom being just 4 miles away along the Promenade. There are so many events that take place in the area throughout the year, including Blackpool Illuminations, Concerts, this year including music festivals featuring Kylie, Lytham Proms, Kite Festival, golf tournaments, car rallies, vintage festivals and farmers markets, making this a great destination all year round.
Other places to visit along the Fylde Coast include Lancaster/Morecambe, Thornton Cleveleys and Fleetwood, which also operates a car ferry service to Douglas, Isle of Man, twice daily. Also, thanks to its proximity to the M55 and connecting road networks, The Dunes is also a great touring base as there is a lot to see and do away from the coast within easy driving distance. The Lake district is also an easy to reach 40 minute drive way. With so much to see and do all year round, ‘Dune View’ is the ideal destination for families and friends who like to be active.
